Guilds
A guild is a band of frogs who hunt, talk and wear one name together. Its name shows under every member's name, for everyone who sees them, and it has its own chat channel.
Founding a guild
Guilds are registered by Pim Sealwax, the guild registrar, a very small frog with a very large stamp at his desk in Khemenu's Council House. Ask him about guild.
- You must be level 8 or higher, and not already in a guild.
- The charter costs 1 gold.
- The name is yours to choose and his to approve: 3 to 24 letters, up to five words, one
'or-at most. Nothing rude, nothing that belongs to the world (a guild may not just be called Khemenu, but Wardens of Khemenu is fine), nothing that sounds like staff, nothing from beyond the Lilyfields, and nothing silly. No two guilds may share a name, or look alike.
Pim opens the guild panel with the form. Write the name, press Found, and you lead your guild.
Ranks
Every guild has three ranks: the Leader, the Officers and the Members. The leader may rename them.
| What | Who may do it |
|---|---|
| Invite a frog, take an invite back | Officers and the leader |
| Remove a member | Officers (members only) and the leader |
| Set the message of the day | Officers and the leader |
| Promote a member to officer, demote an officer | The leader |
| Pass the lead to another member | The leader |
| Disband the guild | The leader |
A guild holds up to 50 members.
Invites
An invite reaches a frog even when they are away: they find it waiting the next time they come into the world. It lapses after 7 days. Open the guild panel with [G] to join or say no.
Leaving
Anyone may leave from the panel. A leader passes the lead first; the last member to leave ends the guild. To disband, the leader types the guild's whole name, so nobody ends one by accident.
The panel and commands
Press [G] for the guild panel: the members (who is online, their rank and level), the message of the day, and the buttons your rank allows. The same things work typed in chat:
/guild invite Name · /guild accept Guild · /guild decline Guild · /guild leave · /guild kick Name · /guild promote Name · /guild demote Name · /guild pass Name · /guild motd text · /guild rank 2 Reedling · /guild disband Guild
The Guild chat tab talks to every member online.
