The rules
KEKRUNE is for players aged 13 and older. These hold in every channel, in names, guild names and status lines, in private, and out in the land. The same rules are in the game: open the chat and pick the Rules tab, or type /rules.
No griefing
Griefing is spoiling the game for other players on purpose. These are against the rules:
- Harassment in chat (rule 2): Do not follow, single out or keep messaging someone who has told you to stop or has ignored you. One no is enough.
- Hate in chat (rule 3): No slurs and no attacks on anyone's race, religion, nationality, gender, sexuality, disability or age. Not as a joke either.
- Following or blocking someone on purpose (rule 12): Do not follow someone around on purpose, or stand in their way to block a path, a door, a body or their hunt. Getting to a free hunting spot first is fine.
- Luring monster trains onto other players (rule 13): Do not lead a pack of monsters onto other players on purpose. Lost a chase by accident? Warn them, say sorry and help.
- Scamming trades (rule 7): Never cheat someone in a trade: no swapping the item at the last moment, no false promises, no fake offers. Never trade game things for real money or real things. No free-gear links, no asking for logins or login links.
- Exploiting bugs (rule 14): Found a bug that gives items, shekels, levels or an unfair edge? Stop and report it. Using it on purpose is cheating; reporting in good faith is never punished.
Normal PvP and taking a hunting spot are allowed: being killed in a fair fight or finding your spot taken is part of the game.
What staff do
Staff go step by step: a warning, then a temporary mute or ban, then a permanent ban. The worst cases may skip a step. Every action names the rule; you can appeal once.
To report someone: click their name in chat and pick Report player, or open Settings, Report a player, and pick the reason. Staff see the chat of the last minutes and where you both stood, from the server.
All the rules
- Respect people. Treat other players as people. Argue about the loot if you must. Leave their family, looks and life out of it.
- No harassment. Do not follow, single out or keep messaging someone who has told you to stop or has ignored you. One no is enough.
- No hate. No slurs and no attacks on anyone's race, religion, nationality, gender, sexuality, disability or age. Not as a joke either.
- No real threats. Threats in the game stay in the game. Never threaten the real person, urge anyone to harm themselves, or talk of finding someone outside.
- Keep it decent. No sexual content, no gore for its own sake, nothing illegal. Children may be reading. So may your mother.
- No spam or flooding. Say it once. No repeating, no walls of text, no capitals for volume, no advertising other games, servers or sites.
- No scams or real-money trading. Never cheat someone in a trade: no swapping the item at the last moment, no false promises, no fake offers. Never trade game things for real money or real things. No free-gear links, no asking for logins or login links.
- No pretending to be staff. Only staff carry the staff mark. Do not pose as staff, the game or a system message. Staff never ask for your password or login link.
- Keep personal things private. Yours or anyone's: real names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, photos, accounts elsewhere. Do not ask for them either.
- Use the right channel. Buy and sell in Trade. Ask in Help. Talk to the people near you in Say. World reaches everyone, so keep it short.
- English in the shared channels. World, Trade and Help are in English, so everyone can read them and staff can keep them fair. Say, private, party and guild: any language.
- No following or blocking. Do not follow someone around on purpose, or stand in their way to block a path, a door, a body or their hunt. Getting to a free hunting spot first is fine.
- No monster trains. Do not lead a pack of monsters onto other players on purpose. Lost a chase by accident? Warn them, say sorry and help.
- No exploiting bugs. Found a bug that gives items, shekels, levels or an unfair edge? Stop and report it. Using it on purpose is cheating; reporting in good faith is never punished.
- Staff decide; you can appeal. Staff may warn, mute, kick or ban, and every action names the rule. Think they got it wrong? Appeal once, calmly, on the homepage. Arguing in World is not an appeal.
The land has enough monsters.
