The God's Last Coal
Given byBardo, the Fire-Keeper
WhereKindling Grove
How it starts
Mabry's smiling? Then the world's ending, or you did good.
This is the coal I carried off the bridge. The god's own. Forty winters in my fire. Take it to Iset's brazier, east by the bridge. Rain kills it: if it rains, cover the pot.
This quest is meant to surprise you. Go and find Bardo first.

What people tell you along the way
- Bardo: “The coal is grey. Wake it at a fire (Bardo's wayfire, Mabry's lamp), then carry it on.”
Bardo: “Carry the lit coal east through the Gap to Iset's brazier. If it rains, use the pot to cover it.”
Bardo: “Carry the cinder to Iset. That's the job. That was always the job.” - Bardo: “The bridge is down for now. Hunt the Gap and the grove's edges till it opens.”
Iset Coalby: “Hunt the Gap while the bridge is down. The Ditchmaws won't mind. Well. They'll mind.”
