Ibbe Sarn, the cairn watch
A lean frog in a hood bleached the colour of the dunes, a spear across her knees. Her water jars are counted and stoppered.
Found in The Sallow Sands.
In from the ford? Sit by the fire, drink, then go on. The smoke is the oasis. Do not leave the road at dusk.
Words they answer to
Greet them with hi, then say any of these: name job smoke road folk. Words in gold in what they say are worth asking about too.
A day in their life
Ibbe keeps to the world's one clock, the same for everyone. If you can't find them, try another hour.
- At dawn Ibbe keeps watch.
- By day Ibbe keeps watch.
- At dusk Ibbe keeps watch.
- At night Ibbe keeps watch.
